Glycerin Soap with a Perfume Composition — Sexy

Most soaps have a simple fragrance — one note, perhaps two, and that is all. This soap has a fragrance built like a perfume pyramid: citrus freshness on top, floral and violet notes in the heart, and at the base — patchouli depth, musk and vanillin. It is a scent that develops during the wash, rather than simply “smelling of something”.

The name “Sexy” is direct — and the scent profile earns it. This is not a fresh morning soap and not the cosy sweetness of honey. This is an evening fragrance — warm, deep, with earthy patchouli tones and the softness of vanillin.

Aromatic composition — what is inside

Top notes — the first impression:

• Lemon Peel Oil (Citrus Limon) — a sharp, clean citrus freshness that opens the scent. During washing you smell the lemon first — but it passes quickly, revealing deeper layers.
• Limonene — supplements the lemon oil with a broader citrus backdrop.

Heart notes — the core of the fragrance:

• Hexyl Cinnamal — a floral, jasmine-like note lending the scent a romantic softness.
• Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone — a violet and iris note. Powdery, elegant, with a retro charm. This is the molecule that gives the fragrance its “Sexy” dimension — violet in perfumery has always been associated with sensuality.
• Linalyl Acetate + Linalool — the lavender and bergamot floral base bridging top notes and base.
• Geraniol + Citronellol — rose-adjacent floral notes rounding out the heart.

Base notes — what lingers:

• Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon Cablin) — a natural essential oil with a deep, earthy, slightly smoky character. Patchouli is a perfumery classic — it gives a fragrance its foundation and staying power. In this soap, patchouli is what makes the scent linger a little longer than soap usually does.
• Musk aromatics (Galaxolide) — a clean, warm musk forming the scent’s “skin”. The background on which all other elements live.
• Iso E Super — a woodsy-velvety molecule that niche perfumery calls “your skin but better”. Adds depth and an intimate closeness to the scent.
• Coumarin — a warm, vanilla-like note rounding out the base.
• Vanillin — the pure vanillin molecule. Not an overdose of sweetness, but a soft, warm background that makes the whole composition cosier and more sensual.

Glycerin base

The same proven formula as other Bio2You handmade soaps. This formula contains no additional functional oils (such as almond oil in the Rose soap or oat flakes in the Oats soap) — the emphasis is entirely on the fragrance composition. The base does its job — gentle cleansing and moisture binding:

• Glycerin, Sorbitol, Propylene Glycol — three humectants preventing skin from feeling dry after washing.
• Sodium Stearate, Palmitate, Laurate — soap structure.
• Sodium Laureth Sulfate — the cleansing base.
• Titanium Dioxide — white pigment in the base.
• Colourants (CI 15985, CI 16255) — yellow and red, which together give the soap a warm, amber-adjacent tone.

Texture and feel

A smooth, translucent soap with a warm, amber-like colour. Creamy lather — the glycerin base sees to that. During washing, the fragrance develops: citrus freshness first, then floral-violet tones, and finally — a warm patchouli and vanillin background that may linger on the skin a little while after rinsing.

How to use

Like any other soap. But perhaps during an evening shower rather than a morning hand-wash in a rush — to have time to appreciate how the scent changes from the first second to the last.
